Tools for Internet job search

Tools for Internet job search

Find a Job is paradoxically a common occupation thankless and at times very satisfactory. I say this because the performance of the effort is not guaranteed and will know when the fruit. However, ordinary mortals have to go through this process.

Once minded, must be put on the table the tools. When you have a highly specialized professional profile is likely that word of mouth and social relations are most effective. The rest should be marked clear objectives, that is, decide what you want and under what conditions, and with these parameters to start looking.

The mentality that a profile is to a broken and disjointed is not recommended, because if you are suitable for many fields can not be excellent at none. Excellence is always singular.

Once the sector, activity, location, the range of pay and conditions, you can start the search. This has been done traditionally in employment offices, through advertisements in newspapers and agencies. Today, except in cases of advice, it makes sense to find deals on these sites, taking into account that the agencies, newspapers and employment agencies publish them online.

In Spain we have several websites specializing in employment:Infojobs, Laboris, Oficinaempleo, Monster, Infoempleo, Trabajar.com, expansionyempleo, Etc. There are also some regional public employment offices that do not work at all bad. Here you can find a more complete list job portals in Spain. They are not all alike because they have the same sources when publishing deals.

Should take a look at each one and register in those kind of deals that fit what you are looking for. The registration process is long and tedious because you have to create a resume fill in all fields of data. Not worth cutting and pasting. You have to tailor information to what is asked. The good part is you only have to do this once.

In some sites like Monster can create multiple profiles for different field CV which you want to find work. You can also disable a profile for someone else to find businesses.

All are adding tools such as recommendations, language assessments, etc. But in general, can be considered an addition. If a company wants to know the language skills of a candidate will undergo a specific test.

For the job search portals, there are the social networks of professionals. The best known are Linkedin and Xing. The objectives of these networks are more extensive than those of the search portals. Trying to get in touch professionals to create collaborative teams, discussion groups, ask for advice, also seek employment, etc.

In both of them in others is essential to create a well structured CV, putting in place who is going to read. Surely someone from Human Resources who may know very little of the work of the professionals it hires.

Should take full advantage of the tools within each page: tracking offers, visibility of the curriculum, sample letters of introduction, curriculum update alerts, etc.

Your computer can help here, what else is a matter of perseverance. Suerte! ;-)
