Asus presents Eee and Eee Tablet Pad

The Eee-Pad models EP101TC and EP121 are equipped with a capacitive 10-inch and 12-inch touch screen. The latter is driven by a low-power Intel processor-CULV type Core 2 Duo and controlled, unlike Apple’s iPad multitasking. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. The EP121 can be inserted into a holder with a keyboard and touchpad, and then served as a notebook.



The smaller EP101TC works with a Nvidia lenovo thinkpad x61s battery Tegra CPU and Windows Embedded Compact 7, the successor to Windows 7 is based on Windows Embedded CE. It is 1.2 inches thick and weighs 675 g. The battery life should be up to ten hours.




Asus Eee Tablet


The Asus Eee Tablet as a reader and digital drawing pad has been designed. With an input sensitivity of 2450 dpi it will convey the feeling that you write or draw on paper. The LC-display with backlight provides 64 shades of gray dar. A new page is built according to the manufacturer in 0.1 seconds and is up to nine times as fast as for other readers with E-Ink display, such as Amazon’s Kindle.


Users can sort the notes, tagged or provide additional comments. Synchronization with the PC is via USB. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera, microphone and speaker and a MicroSD card slot. The maximum battery life is also ten hours.


At prices and publication dates Asus has provided no information. Engadget wants but have learned that the Eee Tablet Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS battery comes in September for 199-299 dollars on the market. The Eee-pad models will cost 400-500 dollars and will not appear before the first quarter of 2011.
